Megaworld Corp., led by property tycoon Andrew Tan, will open two new malls worth P4 billion within the 15.4 hectare township development in Fort Bonifacio before the end of the year.
The two malls will have a total of 110,000 square meters of leasable space, boosting the company’s total
The first mall, Uptown Place, is a 5-level upscale mall covering 85,000 square meters of retail and commercial spaces located at its township development, Uptown Bonifacio along 9th and 11th Avenues, 36th and 11th Drives.
Set to open before the end of the year, Uptown Place will have its own food hall, state-of-the-art cinemas including Megaworld’s Signature Ultra Cinemas, a rooftop sky plaza overlooking Uptown Bonifacio skyline, a lifestyle tower, chapel, Las Vegas-style water feature at the mall’s ground level and al fresco dining areas.
Next to Uptown Place is Uptown Parade, a unique dining mall that is set to become Manila’s newest dining hub with an eclectic mix of specialty restaurants serving international cuisines.
Part of the 25,000 square meter Uptown Parade is the 8,000 square meter party space The Palace Superclub, which now houses the Valkyrie Nightclub and The Palace Pool Club, the country’s first day club and pool club.
Aside from the two new malls, Megaworld is also building several luxury residential condominiums in Uptown Bonifacio and office buildings including the 20-storey Alliance Global Tower which will serve as the headquarters of the companies under the Alliance Global Group, Inc.
In 2012, Megaworld said it will be spending P65-billion to build Uptown Bonifacio over the next 10 years.
