It’s hard to let go. But sometimes, change is for the better.
Changing your business is a big step, so you should start right. Don’t waste your energy and time on false starts and walk towards the right path.
First, make sure this is really what you want. Think of the next five to ten years – is this really what you want to do by then? Will this fulfill your life and make you happy in the long run?
Second, consider the major adjustments. You might get overwhelmed with all the changes. Don’t worry and take all the time you need to adjust your schedule, your routines, and even your lifestyle.
Prepare yourself for the sacrifices – financially, physically, mentally and even emotionally – you have to make.
Then, ask for advice. Sure, you’re leading this venture, but don’t think that you’re alone in life. There are plenty of people willing to help you out: your family, your friends, and your mentors have your back.
Follow your heart. Do what feels right to you. At the end of the day, you’re the one who’s going to have to commit to this change.
Change is scary, especially when you think you’re losing time, but that’s alright. We often don’t take risks because we fear the outcome; but plans will remain just plans unless we act on them.
